House Calls

sick-building-syndrome0141 531 6490

House calls are at the doctors’ discretion. This service is for patients whose condition makes it impossible to attend the surgery.

When a house call is required, please:

  • Phone the Practice before 10am (except in the case of an emergency)
  • Give as much information as possible about your medical condition to the receptionist
this will help the doctor when he/she assesses your request
  • Ensure you provide up to date contact telephone numbers

The receptionist will inform the duty doctor of your request, or seek immediate advice in an emergency. The doctor may need to speak to you before visiting if more information is required. Otherwise, you will receive a visit as soon as possible.

Please note that the duty doctor generally has a short morning surgery to attend to and may have several house calls to make that day. These will be prioritised appropriately by the doctor.

Please refrain from ringing to check when the doctor is coming, unless your situation has changed for the worse and you have urgent concerns. Our receptionists will be happy to assist you in that instance.
